The business has become a recognized brand for educational speech and language resources which are designed by Ms Luthfiya Khamissa who has a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Language Pathology from UCT. The company is located in Burgersfort, Limpopo with over 130 agents in South Africa. An online store (www.thespeechbubbleco.co.za) was created in 2019. Products are used by speech therapists, occupational therapists, special needs educators, mainstream school educators, Montessori teacher and parents.

Speech therapists, speech and language therapists and speech pathologists all refer to the same scope of practice. In South Africa, we study a 4 year Bachelor of Science degree at university followed by 1 year of community service at a government hospital or health care facility. It is a requirement that we register with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA). Thereafter, we can work in the public or private sector.
