Sugar Bay is a luxury holiday camp in Kwa-Zulu Natal, for children between the ages of 7 and 17 years old. We offer over 100 activities, including surfing, skate boarding and ropes courses. Our newest activities are airsoft (which is similar to paintball) and tie dye. None of our activities are compulsory and children are given the freedom to choose what they would like to do. We have qualified staff known as camp counselors, who look after the children 24/7. No child is ever left alone and we have a strict supervision ratio of one counselor to every three children.

Escape Room Week: 22nd – 29th March
This week will be all about deciphering codes to unlock doors that lead to epic adventures. On the final day, our campers (the children) will have to follow the clues to find a key which will allow them to escape from Sugar Bay (with counselor supervision, of course), to have a braai at the beach. There will be an optional excursion to a laser tag arena in Durban.
Santa’s Vacation Week: 12th – 19th April
When Santa is away, the elves will come to Sugar Bay to play! This will be a very festive and jolly week at camp. There will be crafts to make, toys to test and presents to unwrap. The camper who can guess where Santa went on vacation, will be awarded a R100 voucher to spend at our tuck shop. We will also be going to an ice skating rink to take part in the elves’ favourite hobby! Throughout the week, 7 lucky campers will each open a special present in our 7-day Sugar Bay advent calendar.
The Wizard of Oz Week: 19th – 26th April
We’re off to see the wizard – the wonderful wizard of Oz. Every camper will receive a book with an image of a yellow brick road pasted inside. There will be various challenges written all along the yellow pathway for the campers to follow. This week we will be going on an excursion to uShaka Marine World!
Sugar Rush Week: 26th April – 3rd May
Our campers are in for a treat this week. They should bring their competitive spirit and a sweet tooth with them to camp. The highlights for this week include a giant Pac-Man maze and a trip to a trampoline park.
