Nestled in the suburb of Fairland, Johannesburg, Radford House is a small, independent school which specialises in the education of academically and/ or intellectually advanced  learners – ie. “gifted children” – from grades 000 to 12.  Our pupils enjoy a well-rounded education in a caring environment which recognises their individuality, nurtures their passions and challenges their incredible potentials.

Established in 1996, we have become renowned for helping bright pupils blossom into confident, curious, and effective thinkers who genuinely love their school.  This is, in part, due to our exceptionally low pupil-teacher ratios and deeply personalised approach, which ensures that each pupil is seen, supported, and offered ample opportunity to participate (and excel) in a variety of memory-making experiences.   Through our unique “Radford Approach,” we focus on developing creative and critical-thinking skills in an environment that is deliberately stimulating, nurturing, and accelerated, while retaining a neurodivergent-friendly ethos.

With consistently top-tier IEB matric and olympiad results, most of our seniors pursue successful academic paths – often in highly specialised and diverse fields.  These outcomes are grounded in the strong social-emotional and academic foundations laid in our junior years.
