Come and join us at the Duncan Studio of Celtic Dance!

We teach Irish and Highland dancing to girls and boys from ages 4 years to adults. It’s highly energetic, fun, exhilarating and great exercise. 

Irish dancing has enjoyed a magical revival since the exciting international appearances of Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, while Highland dancing is traditional Scottish dancing dating back to the 1200’s.

Sue Theron has extensive teaching experience, having founded the Duncan Studio of Celtic Dance over 30 years ago. We delight in teaching our dancers from a young age and they are afforded the opportunity to learn and participate at the highest level. 

The health and wellbeing of our dancers is of utmost importance, hence we have a sprung solid wooden floor in our studio that is maintained throughout the year to help avoid dancer injury, such as shin splints. 

We believe that passion and compassion are equally important in developing a love for dance. Enjoyment, self-enrichment, self-belief, growth and confidence for the dancer is what we work on achieving. We also group dancers according to their level to ensure that they feel comfortable. At the same time, we expose our less experienced dancers to more senior dancers to inspire them.
