Description
Oakley House Preparatory School (Gr 1-6) offers a dynamic, specialised programme designed for children who learn differently, with flexibility built into the CAPS curriculum. Small classes ensure individual attention, while a multidisciplinary team of on-site therapists and specialist teachers support each learner through an Individualised Education Plan. Our approach includes Project-Based Learning to encourage collaboration, problem solving and self-management, alongside dedicated Thinking and Literacy Skills programmes. We also provide an alternative Amended Learning Programme and the highly specialised Development, Education and Neurodiversity unit, which supports autistic learners in a nurturing, structured environment.

Oakley House High School (Gr 7-12 & GETC) provides neurodiverse students who face academic, social, or emotional learning challenges with the opportunity to achieve a National Senior Certificate in a supportive environment. We cater to students with ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, processing and working memory difficulties, anxiety, and more—offering individualised support through direct instruction, multi-sensory learning, and assistive technology. Our approach helps students develop academic knowledge, executive functioning, study skills, and a deeper understanding of how they learn best. Alongside the academic stream, the Alternative Stream provides a more flexible, skills-based route without the demands of the CAPS curriculum, leading to a General Education and Training Certificate (GETC), a Grade 9 equivalent earned by completing AET Level 4 modules.
