Have baby – will travel

Travelling with babies and toddlers can be stressful, whether it is navigating public transport, such as the underground in London or simply a domestic flight in South Africa – you are bound to find a pram a mission to contend with. That why I have always chosen to travel with my baby carrier. There are a few good reasons for this:

  • A baby carrier takes up WAY less space – The SnuggleRoo in particular is so small, it can easily fold up into any nappy bag and even your designer handbag ☺
  • Moving through the queues in public transport means that your baby is safely contained against your body and gives you hands free to manage tickets and hand-luggage efficiently
  • When travelling to new sights and exotic locations and beaches, there is nothing better than the ease of popping your little one into her SnuggleRoo
  • The best part about having your baby in a carrier is that if she falls asleep whilst you are travelling you do not need to disturb her sleep by taking her out of a pram. She can safely sleep against you for the flight or where ever you are.

Obviously if you are in a car, safety is more important and then you will move her across to a car seat.

Nice post! my younger child is five years and I am now excepting one in May. I think about the hassle of having to travel with a baby and that scares sometimes. Thanks for reminding people like us things we can do to ease the stress of traveling with our little ones.

Baby Carriers are life savers. My husband and I wore baby carrier so frequently when we went on our first holiday as a family after our baby was born. There were many steps to a beautiful beach and some parents could not visit due to pram. We enjoyed that trip because of the babycarrier, to be honest! It was such a practical choice for holidays.

I realised how clumsy it is to carry baby in a pram when I had to go to the washroom and I couldn’t open the door. Someone else had to help me out. Yes a baby carrier would be much more convenient while travelling , especially in crowded places.

I always think parents travelling with kids are brave. My cousin recently visited us in South Africa from England with their 3 year old and 5 month old and I can’t imagine what that long flight must be like with 2 small kids. But I guess with a baby carrier, it makes things so much easier with an infant.
