Pegboards are versatile toys that develop and strengthen visual perceptual skills, fine motor skills and eye hand coordination. They also help to strengthen a child’s pincer grasp which usually develops at 9 – 12 months of age. When a child uses his index finger and thumb to pick up objects, he is able to pick up and place the objects in a controlled manner. By placing the pegs into holes the child is strengthening his grasp and release skills and hand manipulation skills. Pegboards are beneficial in promoting fine motor skills, maths concepts and controlled placement. Our pegboards are available in standard sized pegs and various sized pegs. Locally produced and hand crafted out of wood.
