#1 Bad bacteria in the mouth cannot withstand active oxygen

The presence of bad or “anaerobic” bacteria in the mouth can lead to several mouth diseases and infections. Bad bacteria is oxygen-hating, and thrives in oxygen-free environments. Oral care products based on active oxygen can combat harmful anaerobic bacteria and are safe for daily use.

#2 Active oxygen is proven effective

Clinical studies and research has proven that active oxygen is effective in banishing bad bacteria from the mouth. Researchers have studied patients with acute chronic periodontitis (gum disease) and results showed that the use of active oxygen in combination with Scaling and Root Planning (SRP) leads to a significant reduction in the amount of gram-negative anaerobic bacteria. Active oxygen has also been proven anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial, and it promotes the growth of capillary blood vessels.

#3 It is a healthy alternative for chlorhexidine

Chlorhexidine is an effective bacteria-killer and a well-known antiseptic. Unfortunately, it kills all bacteria, including the good type, which leads to a disrupted oral balance. One of the most acid-forming bacteria is the Streptococcus mutans. Active oxygen is capable of greatly reducing the number of bacteria: In a study at the University of Nijmegen, The Netherlands, the number of Streptococcus mutans bacteria was reduced by 70% after exposure to active oxygen.

#6 It prevents halitosis

Halitosis, otherwise known as “bad breath,” is caused by the presence of gram-negative anaerobic bacteria in the mouth. This bacteria causes volatile sulphur compounds (VSCs) as a result of the breakdown of proteins. These compounds have an unpleasant odour, which we experience as bad breath. Active oxygen is able to oxidize these proteins, thereby greatly reducing the sulphur odour.

#7 It whitens teeth

Active oxygen has an oxidizing effect, which is responsible for whitening dentine and removing discolouration on, and in, the enamel. Unlike peroxides, no free radicals are formed during the oxidation process, which makes active oxygen safe for tooth enamel and gums.

07 Active Mouth Rinse (R169)

With brushing, using interdental brushes and dental floss, 75% of all plaque can be removed. That means there are still bacteria remaining in the mouth. Rinsing with O7 Active Mouth Rinse helps to keep the mouth healthy.

Fill the inner cap with the right dosage and rinse the mouth for 30 seconds. Spit out and do not rinse again with water.
Rinse the mouth twice a day, after brushing.
