Description
At Raising Readers, we use an explicit, systematic, and sequential method of teaching literacy – a method that is based on the science of how our brains learn to read.
We help teachers re-ignite their love of teaching by empowering them with structured literacy knowledge, skills and resources and give parents access to skilled structured literacy teachers who can teach their struggling reader and get them back on track.
Giving children the gift of literacy lights us up and our growing team of structured literacy teachers are reaching more families and more schools with one-on-one lessons using a literacy method that aligns with the way the brain learns to read.
One of the greatest joys of being a structured literacy teacher is seeing that light bulb moment happen when a student gets the code! This incredible team of teachers are creating light bulb moments in many students lives. Your child could be the next one to have their reading light bulb moment!
Raising Readers is all about structured literacy and offers the following services.
- 1-1 literacy lessons – we have a team of structured literacy teachers ready to help your child develop strong reading and spelling skills.
- School workshops on how to bring structured literacy into the classroom.
- The Reading Teachers Club – a Structured Literacy Monthly membership for educators. This is a growing a community of teachers & therapists who want to learn more and delve deeper into structured literacy. Members get free resources, recorded monthly online trainings, access to a private Facebook group to open discussions, and ask questions.
Raising Readers can’t wait to help you, your child, or your school. Together let’s change literacy futures.
