SciBuddy

SciBuddy was born from a passion for furthering access to scientific equipment and materials. The majority of South African schools have no scientific equipment at all, which means science education is limited to textbooks and worksheets. The best way to inspire a love for science and to inspire a child to follow a career in a scientific field, is to give them the opportunity for hands-on practical experience. Together with Foldscope, SciBuddy aims to give each child in South Africa access to a microscope with which they are free to explore and learn.
