Children experiencing symptoms associated with ADHD, ADD, dyslexia, Auditory Processing Disorders, anxiety and other such barriers can find it difficult to keep up with the fast pace of learning and heavy pressures placed on them. Some children need smaller environments and more individualized learning. Other children suffer from medical or physical difficulties that make it challenging for them from attending mainstream schools on a daily basis. Our inclusive Centre can provide a nurturing space for all these children.
Our Centre caters for children in Grade R to Grade 3 (Grade 4 – 7 applications opening soon). Our small classes work within a CAPS aligned curriculum and our trained and experienced teachers use integrated teaching methods to help learners apply the information they have learnt. An Individualised Learning Programme is developed for each learner giving them realistic and achievable goals. Our learning spaces are adapted to individual needs and we provide remedial equipment if needed, because each child is unique. We focus on the strengths within each child and provide the support they need to develop and grow. Our philosophy of “respect, laugh and learn” forms the basis of our teaching and we provide Integrated Learning Therapy (ILT) for all children. This powerful yet gentle form of therapy is used as a foundation of support to learners as part of their schooling and other therapies are offered as needed.
