The Joys of Breastfeeding

The Joys of Breastfeeding

“Breastfeeding is the normal way of providing young infants with the nutrients they need for healthy growth and development. Virtually all mothers can breastfeed, provided they have accurate information, and the support of their family, the health care system and society at large.

Colostrum, the yellowish, sticky breast milk produced at the end of pregnancy, is recommended by WHO as the perfect food for the newborn, and feeding should be initiated within the first hour after birth.

Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended up to 6 months of age, with continued breastfeeding along with appropriate complementary foods up to two years of age or beyond.

WHO actively promotes breastfeeding as the best source of nourishment for infants and young children. This fact file explores the many benefits of the practice, and how strong support to mothers can increase breastfeeding worldwide.” View from the World Health Organisation

A Note from the establishers of Milk Galore brand:

As a mom myself who struggled to breastfeed my son my option was formula milk of which was not my desired option as I wanted the best for my son. We then researched natural stimulators that would assist not only a 1st time mom like myself who was struggling to feed her baby but all mothers who faced the same struggle. We at Milk Galore understand and have a heart for both the mom and the newly born. The natural instinct and incredible feeling when a mom breastfeeds is a precious gift a mom can give her baby. Our desire is to ensure that all mothers have that privilege of sharing that gift with their newly borns.

Testimonial from our ambassadors currently using our product:

“Being pedantic about breastfeeding I wanted all the natural food sources that stimulate milk production. On our 2nd day I got my breastfeeding companion (Milk Galore) delivered to me. My baby is now 3months and I am still exclusively breastfeeding.” Dr Simphiwe (Khoza) Nyawose, Buhlebenkosi’s mom (Ambassador)

“I have used Milk Galore for my first child and it helped me by increasing the volume of my milk supply when I expressed. Before Milk Galore I would express 150ml and after using Milk Galore I expressed 300ml” Ms Venus Chauke, Una’s mom

“As a new mom I initially struggled with milk supply, milkgalore tea helped me to kickstart brestfeeding, giving my baby so much milk that I stopped supplementing with formula and was able to express extra quantities. Even now I rely on the tea and juice to help me with sufficient milk production, given that my baby now demands even a larger amount of milk as he grows bigger.” Mrs Ncebakazi Msomi, Musa Jnr mom (Ambassador)

Milk Galore has a solution that has incorporated natural herbs that may assist to stimulate lactation for breastfeeding women. It is rich in iron and thus very good for lactating mothers since they are more in need of iron than others. Moreover, cumin is said to help ease and increase secretion of milk in lactating women due to presence of Thymol, which tends to increase secretions from glands, including milk which is a secretion from mammary glands.
