- Partially burned candles
- New wicking
- Wooden skewers
- In a small pan set over a large pan of simmering water, melt down old candles; keeping the temperature around 185 degrees. Remove the old wicks with tongs
- Cut a piece of wicking to the cup’s height leaving some extra on the top. Tie a small stone to the one end of the wick and drop the wick into the melted wax. Dip the wicking into the melted wax to coat them. Remove and stick into the cup’s bottom.
- Pour the wax, stopping just below the cup rim. Allow the wax to set for around an hour.
